Furthermore, this episode has to be early on in Ladybug and Chat Noir’s partnership, as Adrien actually wonders if Chloe is Ladybug. After Chloe rejected him in such a harsh manner in “Dark Cupid,” there is no way that Kim would do this, so this has to have taken place early on. Not only does he take Alya’s phone when he catches her using it to snoop in Chloe’s locker, but he also comforts a crying Chloe in Mr. One of the biggest hints as to this episode’s location on the timeline is Kim’s behavior towards Chloe. Up next is “Lady Wifi,” where Alya is akumatized. This is a rookie mistake that Ladybug never experiences again, and based off of her forgetting and her motivation for using it, we can gather that this must be pretty early on even though Marinette goes on to use Ladybug for more personal reasons, she never forgets the timer after this point. Finally, we see Tikki scolding Marinette for forgetting her transformation will wear off five minutes after she uses Lucky Charm in a very selfish way. This mean she can’t have made much – if any – progress in their friendship, another tip to this episode being pretty early on. Also, although Marinette is awkward around Adrien for a majority of the show, she is especially awkward around him in this episode. This means that “Bubbler” takes place before “Dark Cupid,” where Alya, Ladybug’s best friend, says Marinette forgot to sign her name again. So, let’s move on to the next point on our timeline: “Bubbler.” Our first tip that this takes place early on is the fact that Marinette forgets to sign her name on her gift to Adrien. All of these are things that have to happen before every other episode…but that’s the easy stuff. On top of that, it is Adrien’s first day of school. Furthermore, Ladybug and Chat Noir have their first meeting and technical introduction to Paris Hawkmoth also reveals himself to officially declare war on them.
